The Social Value Conference 2024 kicks off with a keynote address from Councillor Chris Read, Leader of Rotherham Council, who talks through his vision for a thriving and flourishing Rotherham.

Then we dive into our opening panel: ‘We promised a Social Value Economy – How are we doing?’

We've been speaking about a Social Value Economy for over two years now on the back of the 2012 Social Value Act. It was never going to be an overnight sensation - but let's be honest, it seems to be taking a long time. Hear our speakers’ visions, the achievements so far, and the steps we all need to take to deliver on our promises.

Speakers:

- Lorraine Cox, STAR Procurement
- Councillor Chris Read, Rotherham Council
- Sharon Kemp, Rotherham
- Rebecca Garratt, West Midlands Police
- Carol Glenn, Solihull MBC
- Chair: Guy Battle, Social Value Portal
