Suppliers delivering on central government contracts awarded after 1st October 2025 can now create projects, report against a purpose-built Standard Reporting Metric framework and access independent, professional validation of delivery data within the Social Value Portal platform.
Social Value Portal has launched Social Value Model Contract Reporting for suppliers navigating Procurement Policy Note 002 (PPN002)'s contract delivery requirements.
Social Value Portal has been synonymous with embedding Social Value into the tender process. Suppliers know us as the procurement platform: the place where bids get scored and Social Value commitments get made. But winning the contract was only ever half the story. Delivering on those commitments? That's where the real work begins.
Suppliers delivering on central government contracts awarded after 1st October 2025 can now create projects, report against a purpose-built Standard Reporting Metric framework and access independent, professional validation of delivery data within the platform they already use. This new feature set is included with all SVP memberships at no additional cost.
Social Value doesn't end when the contract gets signed.
Post-award, suppliers who've committed to Social Value outcomes under PPN002 at bid stage must now prove they're delivering them while contract managers overseeing NHS, Rail, and other central government and arms-length body contracts need regular, credible reporting to maintain an audit trail.
Unchecked data creates a compliance risk. When scrutiny arrives, suppliers need more than good intentions: they'll need delivery data that is independently verifiable and defensible. That’s exactly what Social Value Model Contract Reporting delivers.
Developed using the Standard Reporting Metrics (SRMs) from the Social Value Model as the foundation, Social Value Model Contract Reporting lets suppliers report their Social Value delivery using natural units (like the number of employment opportunities created, direct spend with SMEs or number of community engagement activities) rather than monetising their Social Value using proxy values.
The Standard Reporting Metric measure set includes 33 individual measures aligned fully with the UK Government's 5 Missions, 8 Outcomes, 17 Model Award Criteria (and sub-criteria) for full compliance with PPN002.
It was also important to us to continue to leverage the value that monetised Social Value brings to our customers: a common language to communicate the Social Value impact each organisation delivers, and a demonstration of the incredible scale that every intervention has.
Organisations using Social Value Portal for their Social Value Model reporting can toggle monetisation on and off as they see fit. If you're providing status updates, progress reports or detailed breakdowns to your buyers - switch off monetisation at any point and the PDF summary reports, reporting dashboard and your KPI reports will be demonetised - and you'll see meaningful, beautiful reports designed for non-financial delivery.
If you're sharing data with internal stakeholders, community partners or your leadership team, switch on monetisation and you'll see the scale of your Social Value impact in financial terms.
In addition to developing proxy values and giving customers greater flexibility around their reporting preferences, Social Value Portal have also developed detailed Evidence Guidelines for suppliers to upload evidence against each Standard Reporting Metric.
Social Value Portal will continue to offer our market-leading Data Validation and Quality Assessment services to members. We aren't built to just enable assurance, we're delivering it.
We think the big question for buyers and suppliers is how to show that Social Value has not just been promised, it's been delivered too. That's why we have designed our Social Value Model solution to provide a clear and simple reporting interface that not only gives users the information they need, but enables the data to be validated to give that additional reassurance.
