Webinar: One year of the Procurement Act 2023

In this webinar, find out how the Procurement Act 2023 has impacted Social Value delivery through public procurement. What has changed and stayed the same? What does good look like now?

One year on from the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023, a key question has emerged: has Social Value delivery genuinely changed, or has it simply been reframed?

This webinar examines how the Act has influenced Social Value across the procurement lifecycle and what this means in day-to-day practice for contracting authorities and suppliers to the public sector. We will explore where meaningful shifts are happening, where familiar challenges remain, and how organisations can adapt their approach to ensure Social Value commitments translate into measurable outcomes.

The session provides a practical review of how Social Value is now being considered at each stage of procurement, from early market engagement and pre-procurement planning, through evaluation and award, to contract management, monitoring, and reporting. Particular attention will be given to how the Act’s emphasis on transparency, outcomes, and accountability is reshaping expectations placed on both buyers and suppliers.

Who should attend:

  • Procurement professionals within local authorities and NHS bodies
  • Bid teams from public sector suppliers
  • Contract and supplier relationship managers, and commercial and commissioning teams
  • Policy and governance leads involved in Social Value oversight

Why attend:
One year into the new regulatory landscape, authorities must ensure Social Value delivery is consistent, proportionate, and outcome-focused, while suppliers are facing higher standards in tenders and more stringent reporting expectations.

This session supports teams in identifying gaps, strengthening internal alignment, and improving confidence in both procurement design, and bids and contract delivery.

Speakers:

  • Tim Rudin, Head of Responsible Procurement and Supplier Skills Team - Greater London Authority
  • Anne McKinnon, Head of eSourcing & Supply Chain - BiP Solutions/Delta eSourcing
  • Amy Hazlehurst, Strategic Account Manager for the Public Sector - Social Value Portal
